Cowboy Excursion

The Grandkids and I spent the day "playing" cowboys. We visited cowboy themes in Goliad, Bee and Karnes counties in Texas. Started with a cowboy breakfast in Goliad, visited the old train station in Beeville (Eli got new cowboy boots), visited some longhorns in Kenedy, then horses in Helenia. The old Ruckman mansion is located there- Ruckman was one of the first settlers in Karnes county. Then back to Goliad to visit the courthouse and the "hanging tree". There is nothing like playing cowboy while discovering history. The grandkids enjoyed the excursion as much as the ice cream we shared at the end of the trip.
