Packsaddle Mountain is in Llano county near the town of Kingsland where I grew up. It is the site of the last Indian battle in Llano county. I grew up across the river from the site. All my life I've wanted to visit the site (climb the mountain) and did so last summer. Here are some pictures of the mountain and the monument of the top. A group of Llano county ranchers attacked and defeated a group of raiding Apaches.
